Terms of Service

The Service

WP Static Conversions is a service operated by be braver Ltd (company number 06612298) that converts WordPress websites into static Hugo sites. By engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

Quotation and Payment

  • Each conversion receives a tailored quote based on the complexity of the site.
  • The base price for a standard conversion is £199 +VAT.
  • Ecommerce site conversions are priced separately based on scope.
  • Expedited conversions are subject to a 50% uplift on the quoted price.
  • Payment is due in full before work begins.
  • All prices are in GBP and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.

What We Deliver

  • A faithfully recreated static version of your WordPress site built on Hugo.
  • A content management system (Sveltia CMS) for editing pages and posts.
  • Free hosting on statichost.uk with forms, analytics and a booking widget.
  • Working contact forms with spam protection.
  • Existing analytics tracking carried over where possible.

What We Need From You

  • Administrator access to your WordPress site for the duration of the conversion.
  • A content freeze during the conversion period — changes made to your WordPress site after work begins may not be reflected.
  • Timely feedback during the review stage to avoid delays.

Timeline

  • Standard conversions are completed within 10 working days of receiving payment and WordPress access.
  • Expedited conversions are completed within 5 working days.
  • Timelines may vary for complex or ecommerce sites, which will be agreed in your quote.

Revisions

  • One round of revisions is included in the quoted price.
  • Revisions must be requested within 14 days of delivery.
  • Additional revisions or changes beyond the original scope are quoted separately.

Intellectual Property

  • You retain full ownership of your content, images and brand assets.
  • We retain the right to reuse generic code, templates and tooling developed during the conversion.
  • The converted site may include open-source components subject to their respective licences.

Hosting

  • Free hosting on statichost.uk is included with every conversion.
  • Premium hosting upgrades are available separately and subject to the statichost.uk terms of service.
  • You are free to host your converted site elsewhere if you prefer.

Limitation of Liability

  • Our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees you have paid for the conversion.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
  • We do not guarantee that the converted site will be identical in every respect to the original WordPress site.

Termination

  • Either party may terminate the engagement with written notice.
  • If you cancel after work has begun, fees for work completed are non-refundable.
  • We reserve the right to terminate if you breach these terms, with reasonable notice where possible.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated with at least 14 days’ notice.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
